Coronavirus update/ difficult decision
It was a difficult decision but, I have decided to close the store for two weeks starting Sunday March 15 2020. I do not want my customers or my employees to be at risk and then exposing their family and friends. We need to do all we can to prevent the spread of this virus. This is an exciting time of year for our girls and we love each of you but because I love you, I will do what is right. I say it was a difficult decision, and it was because I love what I do, but not difficult because I know what it right. Its very hard for teenagers to self limit social interaction, I get it, so I will help you, LOL. We will still be offering private appointments for individuals and their immediate family. We have a lot of appointment times available . We must practice social distancing at this time. I do not want my customers or my employees to be at risk and then exposing their family and friends. We need to do all we can to prevent the spread of this virus. The bottom line is this will help flatten the curve as to not overwhelm our health care system. The chance that you will become seriously ill is low, but you can transmit this to someone that has a lower immune system , your grandparents and chronically ill persons. It's everyone's duty to help stop the spread of this virus. Together we can all impact it.
Facts are: it is here in Chesterfield, there are not enough test kits to confirm all cases , so people with "symptoms" are to self quarantine for 14 days, you can have the virus for many days before actual symptoms, meanwhile you are our spreading it in our community not knowing you are infected. You may not become seriously ill but someone else can. If everyone gets it at the same time, we will overwhelm our healthcare system. This is not to scare, as we should be aware and minimize the impact on our community.
This was a very hard decision as , my livelihood is prom. But, I feel if we enact early strong interventions we can get back to normal sooner , eradicate the virus earlier and save lives.
The dresses aren't going anywhere , and we will open as soon as safe with extended hours to make sure we can accommodate everyone...so don't worry. We will be here for you, please just be patient with us and don't forget us. This will no doubt be a huge financial hit for us as well as soooo many American's. But, it takes a village and you are my village and I'm more committed to keeping everyone healthy and protect our community.
You can make an appointment Here
I am always available by phone ,facebook, DM email, text and if you have an immediate need please don't hesitate to reach out to me. We plan on closing for 2 weeks however, as you know this is developing daily. We will continue to monitor and let you know. 804-621-5778, glitterandlaceformals@gmail.com, text:804-931-9603
Stay home, spend time with your family, read, learn something new, exercise, start a project, finish a project, lol...this too will pass and the earlier we implement ,the sooner we can get back to normal.
